Empowering the youth and filling a very evident market gap is important – not only for said youth, but also for the economic growth and stability of our country. At Axiz, we believe in our youth and we want to contribute to the enablement of their growth.

That is why we fully back the initiative of one of our own – Magda Hanekom – who came up with the idea for a graduate program, in partnership with one of our vendors – SUSE. At the end of this course, 20 certified SUSE administrators will have run through the program, after which the graduate who obtained the best test score and host score will go to SUSEcon in Europe where they will be given the opportunity to obtain additional certification.

Throughout this program graduates will do their practical assessment at one of eight participating companies acting as host companies while attending courses at CTU. The over 200 applicants who had to have some form of IT diploma in order to qualify were narrowed down to a shortlist of 60 and eventually, the final 20 were chosen.

Graduates will write their first exams of this first-of-its-kind program at the end of February 2018 and the half-year recap will take place in March with an advanced course making up the bulk of the second exam content.

We are rooting very hard for all of these graduates and we can already see so much potential shining through. One of the graduates has also been placed at Axiz and has already settled in and become part of the family.

As a leading ICT distributor and a key player in our ecosystem, we understand that it is our duty to contribute to our society. We are very excited about this initiative and the fruits it will undoubtedly bear.
